Description of the section
This section presents information that reflects the importance of the different primary products derived from livestock activity: cattle milk, cattle meat, buffalo meat, sheep meat and goat meat, based on indicators associated with the number of animals. In total, information is available for countries and regions.
Base indicators
Number of animals (for the different production types) at the country level: Refers to the total number of animals raised for the specified production. Therefore, the number of animals excludes those that were lost or not part of the active livestock population.
Estimated indicators
Number of animals (for the different production types) at regional and global level: Refers to the sum of the number of animals across all countries that make up a region or other and that have available information.
Production type group %: Ratio of animals raised for milk, buffalo meat, bonino, etc. compared to total number of animals raised for other types of production.
% of animals for production types: Proportion of animals raised for milk, buffalo meat, bonino, etc. over total number of animals raised for other types of production.
Ranking: Indicates the ordinal position in which the production type milk, buffalo meat, bonino, etc. is placed in relation to the number of animals compared to other production types.
Production type group %: Ratio of animals raised for milk, buffalo meat, bonino, etc. compared to total number of animals raised for other types of production.
% of animals for production types: Proportion of animals raised for milk, buffalo meat, bonino, etc. over total number of animals raised for other types of production.
